In 1969 the Swampers founded Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and within months they were attracting hit recording artists from around the world who came to them. Sweet Home Alabama Music tours can explore the Sweet Home Alabama Music Trail, a six-day tour beginning in northwest Alabama with visits to music studios and historic sites in Florence, Tuscumbia, Sheffield and Muscle Shoals. Tours can be customized to fit your group’s interests and schedule. FAME (Florence Alabama Music Enterprises) Studios is a recording studio located at 603 East Avalon Avenue in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, an area of northern Alabama known as the Shoals. Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area can experience the area’s music legacy with tours organized through the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area. Additional sites will be added in the future.
